Week 8 College Baseball Top 50; Miami Moves Up to No. 2

Tennessee stays at No. 1 after sweeping its fourth consecutive SEC series to move to 12-0 in SEC play, the best start in the history of the conference. The Volunteers swept Missouri and finished the week at 31-1.


Miami climbs one spot to No. 2 after a sweep of Virginia. The Hurricanes moved to 13-2 in ACC play and extended their lead in the conference standings.


Oklahoma State, Notre Dame, and UCLA round out the top five.


No. 6 Texas Tech dropped two midweek games to Grand Canyon, but the Red Raiders bounced back and swept Kansas State over the weekend.


Arkansas falls to No. 7 after a series loss at Florida, while Texas checks in at No. 8. Virginia and Gonzaga finish out the top ten.


Georgia Southern (44), Rutgers (45), Grand Canyon (47), and Georgia State (48) all enter the rankings this week.


The ACC leads all conferences with 11 ranked teams followed by the SEC (9), Big 12 (6), and Pac-12 (5). Teams from 15 different conferences are represented in the top 50.
