“I think the hardest part about injuries is to see your players get hurt and then see them have to adjust their lifestyle. When kids prepare for a season and put so much into it, when they get hurt it's a blow because emotionally everybody feels it. You want your players to succeed and be happy and chase the season they envision." - Oklahoma State Head Coach Josh Holliday on dealing with injuries as a coach and the effect they have on the team, on the Orange Power Coaches Show, Episode 25, March 26, 2024.
"You have every reason to go into this game with supreme confidence, because I have supreme confidence that we've got a better guy on the mound than they do today. 12 hours ago, we were down by 13, now we're at-bat in the first inning, we're in a tie game, so we got all the momentum going into this one." - West Virginia Head Coach Randy Mazey in a pre-game talk to his team before Saturday's first game, after being no-hit on Friday night.
"Yup. That was awesome." - Kansas Head Coach Dan Fitzgerald during an in-game interview on ESPN+ last weekend when right fielder Lenny Ashby made a great catch near the foul line.
