League Notes
Arizona
Arizona is on a 9-game win streak, which is tied for fifth longest active streak in the country. Over the span of that streak, the Arizona pitching staff has recorded a 1.25 ERA. Arizona’s pitching has been their strength in 2025, entering the game with a 3.61 ERA and just 2.72 walks per nine innings, the lowest mark in the country. Brendan Summerhill is hitting .427 and leads the nation with six triples.
Arizona State
Arizona State hitters have had four games this season in which the team struck out fewer than five times. That already matches the Sun Devils offense over the entirety of last season. The Sun Devils as a team are striking out nearly one fewer time per game from last season. Kyle Walker and Matt King are among the toughest players in the Big 12 to strikeout. On the mound, Arizona State pitching continues to excel in getting swing and miss, and leads the Big 12 with 10.9 K/9. The Sun Devils have struck out double digit batters 13 times in 21 games this season.
Baylor
Baylor erased an early five-run deficit to come from behind and win 9-7 Sunday on the road against Kansas. All nine Bears starters had at least one hit, the first time Baylor has done so this season. Baylor's 3.21 walks per nine innings ranks 12th in the nation and its 1.20 WHIP ranks 17th in the nation. The Bears bullpen has allowed just 29 earned runs over 95 1/3 innings of relief, good for a 2.74 ERA.
